Abstract Numerical solutions are developed for the wall temperature profile, for laminar flow of a power-law pseudoplastic fluid in a circular tube. Although the numerical procedure developed is applicable for any prescribed wall heat flux condition, the wall boundary condition chosen here is one of uniformly constant wall heat flux. The computed results are compared with data obtained from a horizontal recirculating flow experimental equipment.
