Glacial erratics of the Oslo region are only occasionally found in Poland. This is because the Norwegian Channelice stream did not reach this area. Recently a few specimens of rocks representing Oslo region have been found at theOwczary site (north-western Poland), what raised questions regarding the relative age of the deposits, as well as thedepositional history of the erratics. The questions were addressed using lithofacies analysis, as well as structural andtextural analyses, combined with clast petrography (medium and coarse gravel). Clast petrography analysis revealed thatthe deposits containing rocks of the Oslo region are of the late Saalian age (Warthe), though some evidence suggest theearly Saalian age (Drenthe).
