Effect of particle size of substrate of enzyme production in solid-state fermentation

摘   要:

Asperigillus niger (RRL isolate) produced about 900 units of glucoamylase/g dry substrate (gds) containing fungal biomass in solid-state fermentation using wheat bran mixed with corn flour at 10% w/w ratio as substrate of particle size 425-500 [mu]m and 500-600 [mu]m. However, substrates with mixed particle sizes containing particles smaller than 180 [mu]m to bigger than 14 mm gave comparable yields.
