Abstract This paper presents an analysis of the effects of the Hangzhou-Ningbo Expressway (in Zhejiang Province of the People's Republic
of China) on the region's economic development. An econometric model shows the estimated contributions attributable to the
expressway have increased year by year. And statistical data indicate that the Hangzhou-Ningbo Expressway has promoted to
some extent the region's economic development in various aspects.
