We study a spin-orbit (SO) coupled hyperfine spin-1 Bose-Einstein condensate in a quasi-one-dimensional harmonic potential combined with an optical lattice. The ground state structure is obtained by numerically solving the Gross-Pitaevskii equation. We conclude that the phase separation between the m F = ± 1 components, in particular the stripe pattern (SP), can be formed under the condition of increasing the SO coupled strength and the simultaneous decrease in the magnetization. In addition, we also plot the phase diagram showing regions where the solution is a SP.
